BMI Calculator for Adult Females & Males

Welcome to the BMI Calculator:
Discover your ideal weight to live a long & healthy life.

The BMI is a health risk assessment tool. It’s not appropriate for kids, pregnant women, the elderly, or the really muscular types. But for everyone else, you can learn a lot about what your health risk is for serious conditions like heart disease, and if needed, how much weight you need to lose to get to a healthy BMI.

Here's where to calculate your current BMI and also what weight to reach to meet a specific BMI goal.

How much should I weigh to reach a desired BMI?

BMI is a generic screening tool so making decisions about your goal weight based on that alone may be shortsighted. That said, it's still a valid tool, and an overweight or obese BMI increases your chance of health conditions in the future.

BMI Weight Status
Below 18.5 Underweight
18.5 – 24.9 Normal or Healthy Weight
25.0 – 29.9 Overweight
30.0 and Above Obese

So if you're not happy with your current BMI, let's review what weight you'd possibly need to aim to get your BMI in healthy levels (18.5 to 24.9)
